The East Leeds Lions were formed in 1998, by a small group of people who wanted to make some new friends and share their love of biking. Over the years we have become a well established club in the Yorkshire area with an annual membership of over 100.
Our members are of all ages and ride machines of all kinds, from the learner legal's, cruisers, trikes and tourers to state of the art superbikes. Whatever you ride, you’re welcome at the Lions.
We have recently moved again to another new home at the Barnbow Pub, Austhorpe Road, Crossgates, Leeds LS15 8EH
Life with our club is never dull! We have now successfully moved to our new rally site and our Easter Rally is a firm fixture on the biking calendar with an attendance of well over 1,200. We have recently taken biking holidays to France, Germany, Switzerland, Ireland and have recently done another european trip in 2010. As well as all the usual outings around the country and nights out in the winter months we have plenty more to keep you busy. What's more we’re proud to add that our trophy cabinet is bursting at the seams with even more rally ‘club turnout’ awards!
We also organise charity fundraising events, by the end of 2010 we had managed to raise over £30,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service. We also raised over £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, other charity's we support are Cancer Research, The National Association for Bikers with a Disability & the NCDL Dogs Trust.

BMF and MAG
Being a member of the Lions, whether active or not, increases by affiliation the membership of the British Motorcyclists Federation (BMF), and Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) - our voice, together with FEMA, in government and Europe. The larger their membership, the more notice the politicians take about our rights to buy and ride the bikes we want without the interference of the bureaucrats. In turn your membership of the Lions means you are an affiliate member of the BMF and MAG.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR BIKERS WITH A DISABILITY
The Lions are also affiliated to the NABD, a charity whose aim is to get bikers, however disabled back onto the road, by modifications to bikes and trikes.
We also received Best Checkpoint awards in 2003,2004,2005 and 2006 for the BMF/ACU National Rally, and always try to supply a checkpoint that is enjoyable to attend.
2011 see's us being one of the 6 Final Controls which will be located at Whitchurch, Chipping Sodbury, Warrington, Leeds, Kegworth & North London. The Organising Committee are working hard to make the Rally itself as enjoyable as possible for all riders and the journey to and from the event shorter and safer.
The East Leeds Lions MCC are affiliated to the BMF (British Motorcyclists Federation) N.A.B.D. (National Association for Bikers with a Disability) and MAG (Motorcycle Action Group).
